Red Cross asks for help with HELP program

The Canadian Red Cross is asking for volunteer help so that it can better assist the community in lending out health-related equipment.

According to a press release from Volunteer Nanaimo, the Canadian Red Cross is seeking client services volunteers for its Health Equipment Loan Program.

“HELP offers mobility, independence and safety to seniors and those recovering from illness or surgery in their own homes,” the release notes.

Client services volunteers supports the program, assisting with in-person and telephone enquiries from the public.

The Red Cross is asking for volunteers with training in office administration or a year of work-related experience. A criminal record check will be required.
