Re/Max of Nanaimo real estate sales help with treatment for sick children.

The local real estate offices announced this month that their annual donation to the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals for 2018 is $86,249.

All Re/Max real estate agents make a donation to the charity after every residential and commercial transaction, and all donations benefit Children’s Hospital, including local kids who receive medical care there.

“It’s a priority for our [real estate agents] to give back to the community in which we live and work,” said Ian Thompson, managing broker of Re/Max of Nanaimo, in a press release. “One-hundred percent of the monies raised go toward life-saving treatments, medical equipment and valuable research, and it’s truly humbling to see their impact on our Nanaimo friends and neighbours.”

According to Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, the support from Re/Max over the years has helped the hospital to provide medical treatment, equipment and research and education. Re/Max of Nanaimo real estate agents have donated more than $350,000 over the last five years.
