The Radio Malaspina Society is hoping for enough votes in the Aviva Community Fund online contest to win $80,000 in equipment upgrades.
The non-profit radio station, CHLY, is seeking funding for upgrades including a production studio and new main transmitter. It also needs a diesel generator to allow broadcasting in the case of emergencies and power outages.
Canadians can vote in Round 1 to fund community projects until Oct. 19.
To vote, please follow the links on www.chly.ca or go to www.avivacommunityfund.org.
