A donation from the Quality Foods Community Health Endowment Fund will benefit the health of all central Vancouver Island residents.

Noel Hayward, Quality Foods president, presented Nanaimo and District Foundation CEO Janice Perrino with a cheque for $22,500 for the fund.

Each January and February, Quality Foods, in partnership with Becel and Dempster’s, donates 25 cents from each participating product sold. This year they raised $17,500 from that promotion. They also recently held a “Show Your Heart” promotion in partnership with Pepsi and raised an additional $5,000.

“The commitment Quality Foods has to its customers and employees is truly outstanding. Their loyalty to improving healthcare in our communities has made an incredible difference to the Foundation and in what we are able to do. We are very grateful for their support,” Perrino said.

Quality Foods has been a supporter of the foundation for more than 22 years, donating nearly $300,000 to health care in the region.
