Tomorrow’s leaders got a glimpse into the future thanks to a Leadership Vancouver Island development program.
Sixteen participants took part in a two-day LVI leadership retreat Sept. 23-24, exploring leadership responsibilities and concepts through a variety of individual and team-building activities.
They engaged in discussions with local leaders to learn about the resources of the community, address current issues and future challenges, and potential opportunities for community leadership.
Participants worked with coaches and personal leadership plans to design their own leadership development path.
Since 2005, LVI has provided leadership training and support with close to 160 local graduates. Participants in the accredited, nine-month program engage in community leadership development through several projects during the year.
