Nanaimo RCMP and Country Grocer teamed in a holiday food fundraiser this past weekend.

Cram the Cruiser was held Saturday, Dec. 7, at the store’s Dufferin Crescent location. The aim was to fill a police vehicle with donations for Loaves and Fishes Community Food Bank.

“It is easy to forget that many in our community face financial hardships, especially during the holiday season,” said reserve Const. Gary O’Brien, Nanaimo RCMP spokesperson, in a press release. "Taking a few minutes from your day to donate food items can have a significant impact on those who are struggling just to get by."
