Photos capture wasteful behaviour

B.C. Hydro is calling for examples of wasteful behaviour for its fourth annual Team Power Smart photo contest.

B.C. Hydro is calling for examples of wasteful behaviour for its fourth annual Team Power Smart photo contest.

Original photos can be submitted online until Oct. 15 for a chance at winning a digital camera.

Judges will look for how entries capture wastefulness  – whether it’s a kitchen tap left running, a thermostat set too high or half-empty clothes dryer.

A judging panel will choose the top 10 photos and the winning entry on Nov. 1.

The winner will receive a Nikon D7000 SLR camera package from London Drugs and the winning photo will be featured in newspaper advertisements in the winner’s community.

The top 10 photos will be displayed at the Royal B.C. Museum in Victoria during a photography exhibition this winter.
