Photo contest highlights B.C.'s wildlife

Shutterbugs have two weeks left to submit their best wildlife photos to Wild ARC’s fourth annual Wildlife-In-Focus photography contest.

Shutterbugs have two weeks left to submit their best wildlife photos to Wild ARC’s fourth annual Wildlife-In-Focus photography contest.

Organizers of the contest, a fundraiser for the B.C. SPCA’s Wild Animal Rehabilitation Centre,  are accepting digital photos submissions until Sept. 30.

It’s open to all adult (age 14 years and up) backyard and amateur photographers residing in B.C.

Wild ARC cares for more than 2,000 orphaned and injured wild animals a year.

Prizes include: a Velbon Sherpa tripod and two Aero 70 camera backpacks; Vortex 10x26 Vanquish binoculars; two subscriptions to Canadian Art Magazine; and six subscriptions to Canadian Geographic Magazine.

Prizes will be awarded for the top three photos in each of two categories including wild settings and backyard habitats.
