People can walk away from pain

NANAIMO – Pacing for Pledges raises money for People in Pain Network.

The People in Pain Network will try to move forward, away from the pain they live through.

The non-profit organization is holding a Pacing for Pledges walk later this month at Woodgrove Centre to support its pain self-management support group.

The organization was founded in 2011 and its mandate is to enhance the quality of life of people and families of people who are living with persistent pain through self-management programs and peer support.

The group will gather Oct. 18 at the community booth at the mall and the walk begins at noon. Participants are asked to pledge $25.
