For most of us the beginning of September means a return to routine.
Nanaimo Parks, Recreation and Culture offers more than 1,000 programs each season so staff there know choosing a program that fits within that routine can be overwhelming.
To make it a bit easier, parks and rec is hosting Sampler Week, which runs until Friday (Sept. 13) and features programs and drop-in sessions for people to try.
The sessions, offered at different recreation centres and times throughout the week, are free, but registration is required.
