Downtown Nanaimo from the Old City Quarter to the waterfront becomes a place of peace Wednesday (Sept. 22) thanks to the Immigrant Welcome Centre.
In marking International Day of Peace, the centre is hosting a peace parade at 3:30 p.m., starting at 319 Selby St. and ending at Maffeo Sutton Park.
