Nanaimo Paddling Centre has a new addition to the fleet to benefit the local paddling community.
The millennium dragonboat was made possible to the centre with the financial support of the Nusa’Lon Dragons team through Go Rowing and Paddling Association of Canada’s Paddle It Forward program.
Nusa’Lon has worked hard over the years at fundraising and work bees to financially sponsor the centre’s newest vessel.
The boat arrived just in time to be used at the Nanaimo Paddlefest and Pledge Drive Saturday (June 25) and will be used in the Save-On-Foods Nanaimo Dragon Boat Festival July 8-10 and other select events.
