Kelvin Pitcher, who moved to Gabriola from Edmonton with his wife and four kids in 2006, has worked for the Alberta government overseeing contracted business operations and for NORTEL in various senior management positions.

“It’s a big change to move into a not-for-profit, but I am excited for the challenge, and to work with the staff and the board of directors at The Haven,” said Pitcher in a press release.

Pitcher will oversee general operations, including capital improvements, finance and accounting, IT systems, facility maintenance, kitchen and housekeeping.

The Haven offers experiential programs for personal and professional growth and development, emphasizing self-responsibility, effective communication, healthy relationships, creative expression and integration of body-mind-spirit.
