Sierra Club Nanaimo will host a documentary on renewable energy sources as part of a provincewide tour.
The film The Future of Energy: Lateral Power to the People, a documentary that highlights communities in North America that use clean renewable energy sources, will be screened on Sunday (April 19). After the film's conclusion, a panel discussion will take place, with representatives from a number of environmental sectors.
The hope is that the event not only creates awareness, but encourages creation of more environmental job opportunities in the Nanaimo area.
The event runs from 12:30-5 p.m. at Beban Park social centre.
