Young people are invited to listen in or take part in a series of mental health workshops being organized in Nanaimo over Zoom.

Youth 20/20 Can members have planned the series of workshops, called Living in Colour, starting tonight, March 16, and continuing twice a week until April 1.

Speakers from the community will address six mental wellness topics, starting with Dr. Derek Poteryko, Nanaimo’s medical director for community health, who will talk about living with anxiety.

After that, there will be workshops on resiliency, time management, standing up to depression, stress management and coping skills. Workshops are at 7 p.m. on March 16, 18, 23, 25, 30 and April 1.

The workshops are for teens and young adults aged 15-29. To join in on the conferences, use the Zoom ID code 840 9757 2582 and the passcode youth2020.
