Nanaimo Search and Rescue is looking to add more members to its ranks.
The non-profit volunteer organization seeks members with experience in the outdoors, first aid, swift water and rope rescue and who are willing to put in 100 volunteer hours a year.
It is also seeking auxiliary members, whose duties include logistical support during operations and fundraising.
The organization has been serving Nanaimo and area for 25 years and is funded by community donations and support.
It will hold an information session Sept. 17 at its headquarters at 195b Fourth St. between 7-9 p.m.
The group is separate from Nanaimo Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue.
