Nanaimo RCMP admit they “do love our doughnuts,” and appreciated a donation of the treats from a popular Cedar café.

According to a press release, an employee of Coco Café made a batch of doughnuts, packaged them up and delivered them to the detachment on Prideaux Street in Nanaimo.

Members, including the commanding officer, enjoyed them.

“That was without a doubt one of the best apple fritters I have ever had,” Insp. Lisa Fletcher, Nanaimo RCMP acting officer in charge, said in the release. “I am surely going to take some ribbing for this, but we do love our doughnuts, especially these ones. A big shout out to Coco’s and especially Mark for thinking of us and making our day.”

Coco Café provides employment opportunities for community members with developmental disabilities.
