A Nanaimo man is among 28 B.C. lawyers appointed Queen’s counsel by Attorney General Shirley Bond.

Stephen McPhee, a partner with Ramsay Lampman Rhodes, is past-president of the Canadian Bar Association - B.C. branch and chaired the steering committee for the Public Commission on Legal Aid.

The honour is awarded to lawyers in recognition of exceptional merit and contribution to the legal profession.

All nominations are reviewed by an advisory committee which recommends deserving candidates to the attorney general.
