Cineplex Entertainment is thanking its patrons in Nanaimo with free movies.
The company is celebrating Community Day on Oct. 24 and for the fifth year is offering customers free movies at the Nanaimo Galaxy Cinemas, located in Nanaimo North Town Centre.
Movies begin at 9 a.m. and this year's lineup includes Despicable Me 2, Fast and Furious 6, Dr. Suess' The Lorax, Pitch Perfect, Hop and Dumb and Dumber To.
Concession items such as coffee, soft drinks and select candy will cost $2 and the cinema will sell mini-rafiki friendship bracelets for $2. All proceeds from the concession sales and donations go to Free The Children.
