Musicians strike a chord for African grandmothers

A group of Nanaimo musicians is doing its part to help AIDS sufferers in Africa.

A group of Nanaimo musicians is doing its part to help AIDS sufferers in Africa.

The group, including Myc Sharratt, Tome Jones, Jack Jantzen Terry Mack and more, is hosting a fundraising concert and dinner April 26 at the Vault Coffee Shop, 499 Wallace St., from 6-10 p.m.

Funds raised go to  the Stephen Lewis Foundation’s  Grandmothers of Africa campaign through Nanaimo’s Nan Go Grannies.

More than 13 million African children are being raised by their grandmothers after the children’s parents died of AIDS
