Tony Van Bergen operates a train on the North Island Model Railroaders HO layout from Campbell River. This is one of the featured layouts at the 32nd Annual Model Railroad Show Sunday (April 24) at Beban Park social centre.

Trains are running again in Nanaimo.

There has been much talk throughout the past few years on the future of trains running on Vancouver Island and the operation of the Esquimalt and Nanaimo Railway. On Sunday (April 24), there will be no shortage of trains running at the Beban Park social centre as the local chapter of the National Model Railroad Association host its 32nd annual model railroad show.

The show is open to the public. There will be operating layouts in various scales, swap-and-shop tables, and information tables about the hobby for beginners.

The event runs from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. with a minimal admission charge at the door.
