Dr. Derek Poteryko, Island Health’s medical director of community health for Nanaimo, invites residents to explore wellness-related topics in a five-part lunch-and-learn series.

“These lunch-and-learn classes are about supporting people to make lifestyle choices that can help them improve their health and live happier lives,” said Poteryko.

The lunch-and-learn classes are part of a wellness partnership between Island Health and the City of Nanaimo.

Classes cost $2 each and run from noon to 12:45 p.m. on Oct. 5, Jan. 18, Feb. 15 and March 15.

All classes will be held at the Beban Park social centre at 2300 Bowen Rd.

Pre-registration is available through the city’s Fall and Winter Activity Guide. Participants can choose to attend all sessions or just one or two.
