It’s not too late to purchase a ticket for the Lotto for Life fundraiser, but time is running out.
Tickets, in support of the emergency department expansion at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital, are on sale until April 6 for $100 each. Nearly 90 per cent of the 5,000 tickets are already sold.
The final draw takes place April 16 at Country Club Centre and prizes include trips, two 2011 vehicles and the $100,000 grand prize.
Nanaimo and District Hospital Foundation has pledged $4 million to purchase essential equipment for the $36.9 million expansion project.
The new NRGH emergency department, scheduled to open in 2012, will triple in size and serve 160,000 people from Bowser to Ladysmith.
