Lights shine on local charities

NANAIMO: Repair shop hosts fundraisers for two Harbour City charities.

With fewer daylight hours in the fall and winter, Auto Check Automotive wants motor vehicle operators to see and be seen.

The Nanaimo business is also shining a light on the needs of the Salvation Army and Autism Society of Vancouver Island at the same time.

Until Saturday (Nov. 10), Auto Check is providing a $50 headlight aiming and polishing service for a $25 minimum donation to the Sally Ann and autism society.

Every day driving can jostle a vehicle’s headlights out of alignment which can decrease visibility by as much as 50 per cent.
