Mrs. Riches Restaurant is turning down the lights and dialling up the ambience in support of saving energy.

The eatery, at 199 Fraser St., is joining more than 100 restaurants across the province in B.C. Hydro Power Smart’s Candlelight Conversation Dinner Thursday (Oct. 27).

Each restaurant will offer an exclusive discount or special for the event. Mrs. Riches is offering free dessert with selected entrées.

“It’s an opportunity for the restaurants to show their commitment to sustainability,” said Eric Beevor-Potts of Power Smart.
