A local hotelier plans to provide a Christmas holiday in his hometown.
Aohan Cui, owner-operator of Value Lodge Motel, will offer a free room to a local family over Christmas, and he’s challenging other hotel owners to do the same.
“I’ve been thinking about it for a little while,” Cui said. “There’s a big need – especially around Christmas time and with the cold weather – for families and for them to be together. And I think everybody should have a nice Christmas.”
He plans to work with a community group to identify a family that would benefit from comfortable accommodations from Dec. 24-26. Panago has offered to sponsor his initiative and he’ll be on the lookout for other businesses who may be able to offer Christmas presents for the family.
