TOP: Amber Adams, left, of Nanaimo and District Hospital Foundation, receives a $3,500 from Ken Young, service office, and Betty Briand, Poppy Fund treasurer, on behalf of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 256. The money from the branch’s Poppy Fund proceeds will go toward the new cardiac centre at Nanaimo Regional General Hospital.

LEFT: The Upper Island B.C. Hydro Power Pioneers delivered an $800 donation, hand-crafted finger puppets, and homemade knit blankets and slippers for the pediatric wing at NRGH. The money was raised through events and dues to the retiree organization.
