Nanaimo Community Hospice hosts its annual Hike for Hospice fundraiser at Maffeo Sutton Park.
The event, set for May 3, kicks off National Hospice and Palliative Care week. Thousands of people in hundreds of locations across Canada will help raise money and awareness for the work of Hospice in their communities.
Last year the event drew more than 150 participants who walked, strolled or ran along Nanaimo's waterfront.
