Healthfest shines on well-being

Physical and emotional well-being is in the spotlight at the fourth annual Multicultural Healthfest.

Hosted by the Central Vancouver Island Multicultural Society’s Immigrant Welcome Centre, the festival takes place April 28 at Beban Park Social Centre from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The goal of healthfest is to promote healthy living and to reduce barriers to health services often experienced by immigrants living in Nanaimo’s diverse community.

Exhibitors will have information on various aspects of health care available in many languages and can provide on site eye testing, blood glucose screening, and blood pressure measuring.
