The TD Bank Group is pitching in to support Habitat for Humanity Mid-Vancouver Island.

The business donated $5,000 toward the new duplex project built on Prideux Street and employees are grabbing hamers and other tools to help build the homes over the next few months.

“Grants from companies like TD are a huge boost to our projects and we rely heavily on both corporate and personal donations to give local families a hand up and help change their lives through home ownership,” said Teresa Pring, executive director of Habitat for Humanity Mid-Vancouver Island.

Jamie McIntyre, senior market manager for TD Canada Trust, said the company and its employees care about making communities they live and work in “safer, healthier and more prosperous.”

Habitat for Humanity is still seeking donations to complete the project. To donate please go to www.habitatmvi.org, call 250-758-8078 or drop by the office located at 1-4128 Mostar Rd.
