Group encourages legacies for charities

NANAIMO – An event will be held in May for information on donating legacies to charity.

A group of local charities has joined forces to spread awareness of a national program to highlight the importance of keeping an up-to-date will and to encourage people to leave a gift to a charity or non-profit organization.

Nanaimo’s new Leave a Legacy committee is the local branch of   the Canadian Association of Gift Planners.

For more information about the committe and an event set for May, please contact Amber Adams, committee chairwoman, at amber@nanaimohopsitalfoundation.com.
