Old tools will be put to good use this summer.

The Mount Arrowsmith Biosphere Region Research Institute is holding a tool drive this week (May 26-27). Donated tools and materials will be used to construct a garden of spiritual healing for the the Snaw-Naw-As First Nation over the summer.

The organization is seeking unwanted gardening or power tools as well as plants, gravel, soil, compost and wood.

Tools can be dropped off at the Snaw-Naw-As Health Centre at 700 Capilano Rd. in Lantzville on Friday from 12-4 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
