Fundraiser draws attention to crashes

Organizer Keith Cyr published the book In Memory Of … A Book to Remember in 2010 of compelling images of roadside memorials. He held the inaugural Road Trauma Awareness Fundraiser the next year.

This year’s event takes place Saturday (Aug. 25) and includes a silent auction at the pub from noon until 8 p.m.

Award-winning recording artist Andrea Smith joins other special guests starting at 8 p.m. Tickets are $15 at pub, Cranky Dog Music in Parksville or at the door.
