Nanaimo dental hygienists are looking to give people in need something to smile about with free teeth cleanings Saturday (Feb. 7).
Dental hygienists Lindsey Giffen and Heather Cooper are teaming up with Vancouver Island University students for Gift from the Heart, for one day of no-cost dental hygiene services at Harbour City Dental Hygiene to help people who might be challenged to afford or access oral care.
Gift from the Heart, a national campaign, has run for the past seven years and will see more than 100 offices participate. Last year, approximately 1,000 clients were served in Canada.
