Colliers International Mid-Island Charity Golf Tournament in support of the Columbian Centre Society is scheduled for Sept. 9 at the Nanaimo Golf Club, but 40 more golfers are needed to sign up by Aug. 26 for the event to come to fruition.

The tournament is intended for the full range of golfers, from hackers to champions. The idea is simply to have fun and raise some funds for the society.

Registration is $165 and includes a round of golf, power cart, dinner and prizes. A limited number of golf club rentals and golf balls are available by calling the clubhouse at 250-758-6332.

Teams of four or indivuals are encouraged to sign up by e-mailing Linda Ryder at linda.ryder@colliers.com.

The Nanaimo Golf Club is at 2800 Highland Blvd.
