The Wave Babes dragonboat team is doing a little dry land work Saturday (May 4) in support of the Nanaimo and District Hospital Foundation.
The team is partnering with DBL Disposal Services, Regional Recycling, the City of Nanaimo and the hospital foundation to host a plant sale and eco-fair 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Nanaimo Fire Rescue’s training centre on Labieux Road.
The Wave Babes have raised approximately $95,000 over the last seven years for the foundation to purchase breast cancer diagnostic equipment.
