For a twoonie, people shopping at the Real Canadian Superstore in Nanaimo can support nutrition programs and help children with disabilities.
Until March 17, the store is selling $2 Helping Kids Live Life Well paper icons at check-outs in support of the President’s Choice Children’s Charity.
The charity gave out $13.35 million last year to support more than 4,000 nutrition programs and close to 2,000 families with children with disabilities.
All funds generated within each region stay in that region.
Since 1989, the charity has awarded more than $72 million, reaching more than 10,000 Canadian families.
Administration costs are fully funded by Loblaw Companies Limited to ensure that 100 per cent of every dollar donated goes directly to helping children.
