Cupcake campaign fights cancer

NANAIMO – Grocery chain hosts Pink Cupcake Month in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation.

Country Grocer is determined to help create a future without breast cancer.

The Island grocery chain is hosting Pink Cupcake Month in support of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation of B.C./Yukon.

From May 1-31, 50 cents from each sale  of six-pack pink cupcakes will go toward the foundation and its focus on five areas of work – prevention, early detection, treatment, research and immerging issues in the health-care workforce.

Nanaimo’s Country Grocer stores are at 1399 Lawlor Rd. in Chase River, and 1800 Dufferin Cres. off of Bowen Road.
