A society on the mid Island that tries to help stabilize and support people in crisis is looking for some volunteer assistance.

The Island Crisis Care Society is looking for a client support driver and a kitchen meal prep person, according to a press release from Volunteer Nanaimo.

The crisis society needs a driver who can pick up clients so they can attend support programs. Volunteers must have a valid driver’s licence and a vehicle, and an RCMP security check is required and will be paid for by the agency.

The kitchen meal prep volunteer is needed to prep freezer meals once or twice a month.
