Nanaimo’s non-profit carshare co-operative was awarded $10,000 toward adding to its fleet, thanks to Coastal Community Credit Union.
The money allows the car share organization to expand its fleet of cars.
The co-op plans to eventually have at least two vehicles in every neighbourhood so that they can be easily and quickly accessed for errands.
“Nanaimo CarShare is a great benefit to our local community, so it’s important to us that their efforts are strengthened and supported,” said Allyson Prescesky, credit union manager of community experience and communications.
