Coaches help people reach goals

People seeking guidance to achieve their goals can get a taste of the benefits of personal coaching during free events in February.

To celebrate International Coaching Week (Feb. 6-12), members of the Mid-Island Coaches Network, a networking branch of the Vancouver Island Coaches Association, are hosting free one-on-one 15-minute sessions at the Buzz Coffee House, 4515 Uplands Dr.

The sessions are Feb. 7 from 10 a.m. to noon and Feb. 9 from 6-8 p.m. Coaches will also discuss the benefits of the coaching process and how it affects people’s lives. The events are free but donations are being accepted for Haven Society.

The Mid-Island Coaches Network has 42 members and hosts monthly meetings in Nanaimo for networking and professional development.

The Mid-Island branch is part of the International Coach Federation, which has more than 17,000 professional, personal and business coaches in more than 100 countries and is dedicated to advancing the coaching profession.
