Nominations are open for the Green Nanaimo Awards.
Recipients are awarded for their contributions to enhance, preserve and protect Nanaimo's natural environment.
Individuals, groups and companies can nominate themselves or be nominated by other parties for six awards, including the Jeff Thomas Environmental Award, Green Home/Neighbourhood Award, Healthy Living Award, Energy Conservation Award, Environmental Awareness Award and the Merve Wilkinson Award with Distinction.
