City of Nanaimo shares heritage basics

NANAIMO – Free presentation led by Heritage B.C. talks about basic heritage legislation.

As part of the City of Nanaimo’s Heritage Conservation Program Review and Update process, the Culture and Heritage Department has arranged for Heritage B.C. to provide a free two-hour public presentation called Heritage Basics on Oct. 15, 7-9 p.m., at the Nanaimo Museum.

The presentation will introduce the basic legislative overview of heritage conservation for local governments in B.C., introduce values-based management for heritage conservation and planning, the benefits of heritage conservation, and the intersections between heritage conservation and sustainability.

The public is invited to attend.  No heritage background is necessary.
