CHLY broadcasts by back-up

Listeners to Malaspina Radio’s CHLY 101.7 FM might be experiencing a little difficulty tuning in.

Listeners to Malaspina Radio’s CHLY 101.7 FM might be experiencing a little difficulty tuning in to their favourite program.

The non-profit station is switched over to broadcasting from its back-up transmitter Friday so its main transmitter can undergo repairs.

While the main transmitter is out for service, the FM signal will not reach everywhere in CHLY’s usual broadcast area.

Listeners in the Comox Valley, Sunshine Coast, Vancouver, Cowichan Valley, and Hornby, and Salt Spring islands might have trouble picking up  signal, but can still listen online at CHLY.ca.

Main transmitter repairs should be completed in early January.
