Chamber holds huge luncheon

The Greater Nanaimo Chamber of Commerce is touting a “warm Christmas atmosphere” at a large-scale luncheon at the Vancouver Island Conference Centre on Wednesday (Dec. 9).

“The chef is pulling out all the stops for an old-fashioned Christmas menu,” said Kim Smythe, chamber CEO, in a press release. “There are over $30,000 worth of auction items so you could virtually do all your Christmas shopping right there.”

The Vancouver Island Symphony Choir, the Nanaimo Youth Choir and the Wellington Jazz Band will perform, and there won’t be any chamber business on the agenda.

Anyone is welcome, not just chamber members. For tickets, please call 250-756-1191, ext. 2, or e-mail renee@nanaimochamber.bc.ca.
