Barsby Bulldogs football players are getting ready for an important part of their off-season training regimen – shovelling manure.

John Barsby Secondary School's football program is holding its annual garden manure sale fundraiser this Tuesday to Saturday, March 11-15, in the high school's student parking lot off Bruce Avenue.

The football program's largest annual fundraiser goes to uniforms and protective equipment for athletes.

The players will be filling bags of top-quality aged cow manure from Cinnabar Valley Farms, and selling the 18-kilogram bags for $5 each.

The sale will be held from 3:15-5 p.m. Tuesday to Thursday, 2:15-5 p.m. on Friday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday or while supplies last.
