The Nanaimo Horticultural Society hopes to make a splash at its Wednesday (May 9) meeting.
Guest speaker Aaron Wing, of Chi Earth and Waterscape Ltd., discusses creating water features from backyard ponds to award winning lakes.
Wing believes a balanced and properly designed pond often requires less maintenance than a similar sized garden.
The meeting takes place at the Nanaimo Ecumenical Centre, 6234 Spartan Dr. Doors open at 6:30 p.m.
