Auto dealer welcomes women behind the wheel

Steve Marshall Ford is celebrating more than a decade of educating women on automotive independence.

Nanaimo’s Steve Marshall Ford is celebrating more than a decade of empowering and educating women on automotive independence.

For the last 11 years, the dealership has hosted a Ladies’ Night  every four months to help educate women about vehicle ownership, hosting discussions on misconceptions around purchasing and servicing cars.

The next event takes place Thursday (March 29) from 6:15-8:45 p.m. at 3851 Shenton Rd.

“Our Ladies’ Night events provide a fun and open environment for women to discuss their questions and concerns around vehicle ownership and care,” said Ann Marie Ebdrup, owner of Steve Marshall Ford. “It’s important to us to help fight the misconception that women have no place in a garage or car dealership. This event allows us to reach out to the community with that message and to make a difference in the everyday lives of female vehicle owners.”
