The organizer of an apple pie fundraiser is hoping people in the community have saved some room for dessert.
Rose McCulley and a team of volunteers are selling pies in support of John Barsby Secondary School’s football program and the South-Side Minor Football Association.
McCulley and her volunteers are aiming to raise $7,000 by making hundreds of pies, which they are selling frozen and unbaked for $12 each. She’s running out of freezer space, she said, so she’s hoping that more community members will support the fundraiser.
