Springtime in the Harbour City not only means flowers, but the Altrusa International of Nanaimo fashion show fundraiser as well.
New spring and summer fashions from The Bay will be on display May 14 from 1-3 p.m. at Royal Canadian Legion Branch 256, 1630 East Wellington Rd.
The afternoon includes a light lunch of sandwiches and desserts as well as music and raffle prizes.
All proceeds go right back into the community through Altrusa’s efforts to support women, children and literacy.
Tickets are $25 and available through Altrusa (250-390-2924) or The Bay’s ladies’ wear department.
Altrusa is a service club that helps all ages – whether it’s the preschool literacy programs, helping women re-enter the workforce, or delivering books to housebound seniors.
